Managing Your Personal Online Presence BEFORE You Start Camming

Okay, so you have read up on camming, have gathered your toys, outfits and watched a bunch of Youtube videos on makeup/lighting, etc and may even be getting ready to sign up for a site… BUT HOLD UP SISTER!

You need to always keep in mind that not all of these guys are here for a quick jerk off or some attention and that some of them may actually be batshit crazy enough to try to FIND YOU?! IRL?!

What have you done to manage your PERSONAL online presence? Have you done anything to make it harder for these guys to access your personal information/profiles?

          Make Money SEXTING!

With new technologies coming out constantly it makes it easier and easier for scary dudes to find you! Face recognition software is easy to get and makes it insanely easy to find people just from a photo!

You need to think long, hard and deep (PUN!) about how easy or hard you are to find online. Or, how easy/hard you want it to be for others to actually find you!

Me personally, I deleted EVERY SINGLE ONE of my online profiles. All of them! I found profiles I had that I forgot even existed, deleted all of my photos first and THEN deleted the profile. You may not wish to be that extreme about it, but it is what I felt most comfortable doing.

I actually had a member in my early days use face recognition to find me. He found my full name and knew where I lived – then he posted it publicly in my chat room with about 300 guests in there! Needless to say my home is surrounded with cameras, he was reported to the site and I now have a small arsenal in my home. DO NOT FUCK AROUND WITH THIS LADIES!

ALWAYS protect yourself – ALWAYS! Even and ESPECIALLY when you get a whale that is somewhat unstable and becomes jealous and controlling as well as is CONSTANTLY digging for personal information. Don’t think for one second that if you just reject them they will walk away easy. It may be the case but DON’T TAKE THE RISK!

5 Things To Think About BEFORE You Start Camming

So, are you ready (or so you think!) to take the plunge into a better financial situation by the means of debauchery and straight up fun huh?! Well strap yourself in hunny, you are in for an adventure! When I was considering camming my mind was constantly spinning with what I would need to wear/toys, how to act, what to do, how to be sure I’m not getting scammed by assholes, etc…. It seems easy enough to plunk down in your bed and turn on your laptop but there is a LOT to it. Straight up, this is a sales job. You are the product and you need to sell yourself. There is far more involved than may meet the eye initially. Safety, being discovered, investment, impact on relationships, and balance are just a few of the things you need to think about.

  1. ALWAYS BE ALERT FOR YOUR SAFETY! First and foremost you must always do what you can to ensure you are SAFE! Remember, hundreds if not thousands of people will be looking at you and listening to you talk in a day. Most of which are harmless, but there is always a risk factor involved here. Keep your safety at the forefront of your mind AT ALL TIMES! For more on this please read my blog post on safety.

    Hah!
  2. SOMEONE YOU KNOW MAY FIND YOU! Weigh this one VERY heavy in your mind. Yes, sites have geoblocking, etc but you can’t control if Uncle Gary goes on a business trip out of state and happens to stumble across your stream, or finds a video of you on a tube site that some asshole hacker uploaded. You are ALWAYS at risk for someone you know finding you. This is a hard pill to swallow but you need to know deep inside yourself that you don’t give a fuck if someone you know finds you. Everyone you have ever known may potentially stumble upon a video of you with a dildo hanging out of your mouth or worse. Can you deal with that? (Side note: you will get dipshits that come in your room claiming to be your brother/father/etc. Be prepared for that and troll the fuck out of them when they do it – *maniacal laughter* makes for much amusement!) Now that I have you nervous….

Yep, process it…. The possibility is there.
  3. HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT TO INVEST? This isn’t just money this is time too! When I first started camming I had a decent laptop, mediocre wifi and that was it. I swiped my credit card (something I don’t do anymore thank you cam gods and generous regulars!) for a $60 webcam, grabbed a few cute pairs of panties/bras I had and a dildo I had used for years, and logged in. Note, be sure you have lube too, lol! As I began to make more money I was able to invest in more outfits, more toys, and an upgraded webcam. Camming is also a massive time investment if you want to really make good money. Most sites have “New Model” status for a certain number of streaming/live hours or a certain number of days. USE THIS TIME WISELY! New model status is your best friend when starting out! You get great exposure and placement which means you will usually have great traffic. Use this to start building your fan base! Camming will give you what you invest into it with your time. Don’t log on much? Expect to eat McDonalds a lot or even end up on food stamps. Run yourself ragged for a few months or more, expect to not bat an eye when you check out with a cart full of groceries and the cashier says some previously obscene number to you and you don’t bat a pretty little fake eyelash about it. When I started camming I worked a full time job and would come home and cam 4-6 hours a night, every night, for 4 months. Now I cam 20-40 hours a week and am quite comfortable 😉

    Yoda knows what’s up 🙂
  4. WILL THIS IMPACT YOUR RELATIONSHIP? This is a HUGE one! Single and plan on staying that way? Shuffle on…. lol…. First of all, if you have a jealous boyfriend/husband you may as well forget about this now. He will be excited by the money at first but his insecurities will eventually come into play and you will have to find another source of income and/or will experience an end to the relationship. You must have a very solid relationship with your partner if you are to cam successfully and remain in said relationship. I am luckily with a partner who is not jealous and is very supportive of my camming. He enjoys that I do this and has no reservations about my camming at all. He trusts me and respects me. I am constantly being offered obscene amounts of money and promises of a better life if I were to leave him but I wouldn’t trade him for all of the money in the world so their attempts are futile! HAHAHA! But, thanks for the cash bro! LMAO! Keep in mind, this is a rarity! Am I saying that camming has not impacted my relationship in some way? No. Camming related issues can arise but if you have a solid relationship you can work through them or around them as a couple.

    You on cam 😛
  5. BALANCE! You will eventually realize that you HAVE TO balance your time on cam with something else that interests you. It is SO EASY in the beginning to see the potential for what you can make and get caught up in that and run yourself into the ground camming around the clock. Always be sure you can take care of yourself not just financially but mentally and physically as well. Camming seems easy enough but on busy days it can be extremely physically demanding and you will find muscles you didn’t even realize you had, lol. Also, you will wear out mentally (unless you are an extrovert and thrive on human interaction – haha!). These dudes can be draining as fuck and some days are worse than others! Be sure you find a balance between your income, mental/physical health and your relationships. For me this has honestly been the hardest part. Especially when you start trying to build other ways to make money outside of camming with the money you make from camming.

Um, yeah, been here after a 12 hour shift and the guys stop talking.

Camming is what you make it. Just be sure you are prepared to handle all aspects of it, some of which I am sure I have failed to mention but you will find along the path 🙂

Shady Members & Guests – How To Protect Yourself as a Camgirl

Admittedly, not EVERYONE is batshit crazy. A majority of people are harmless. As a camgirl you need to keep in the back of your mind at all times that some of these dudes are shady as fuck, in many ways. I don’t care how nice he is to you or how much money he spends on you. As far as you are concerned, every single one of them is a stalker/serial killer, etc. Always watch your ass! Your safety and happiness depends on it!

    1. DO NOT GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION! EVER! Again with this, I know. But I feel like I cannot beat it into your head enough. Granted some of you are very smart, and I have no doubts you are smart enough to do this but sometimes it’s easy to get caught up when the money is flowing or you get a hot customer you “click” with. Not even your name!

Do not give it out – EVER!
    2. DO NOT TELL THEM YOUR ACTUAL LOCATION! Just. Don’t. Do. It. I lie my ass off. I go far enough to give a regional area and that’s it, in private, by typing it (and it’s ALWAYS hundreds if not thousands of miles away!). If you feel you must give them a state that’s fine but make sure it’s not the one you are in. Unless you like having stalkers then be my guest. Cover/hide your windows if possible. If you tell them you are in the east and the sun is still up when it should be dark they will question you about it. Also, you will have to work around weather unfortunately. If you have a massive thunderstorm coming through and the only place in the whole country that is getting weather is in Kansas and you told them you are in California they may call you out. Yes, the crazy ones will go to those kind of lengths to figure out where you are!

Do NOT Give Out Your Location! EVER!

  1. HIDE ALL EVIDENCE! I leave nothing in my cam room that has my name/address anything on it. Nothing! You never know when you may be in the middle of a hot private or a tip explosion in free chat, on accidentally knock over your cam and everyone in the room can see your electric bill that you just happened to set down until you could get around to mailing it off. Do you buy store brand bottled water and drink it on cam? Peel the damn label off! Did you go to Starbucks before camming, dump that shit into a personal Starbucks cup so they can’t see your name or even worse the drive through label with the date/time and store # on it!

No personal information in your cam room AT ALL! That is what the rest of the house is for!!
  2. DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL PHONE/EMAIL! The resourceful ones can trace this shit back to you! All they have to do with your phone number is use a reverse lookup search engine and BAM! They could be on your doorstep before you know it! If you would like to offer phone sex/sexting, use an APP like Sextpanther. Sextpanther masks your number and their texts/calls come directly to your phone. It’s the safest way to offer these services. I easily make an extra $200-$600 a month doing this. Their payout percentages are awesome too! If you must use an email for camming, use it only for that purpose and do not provide any traceable personal information when you set up the account! Use Gmail and make your name is something like Phucking Wh0re, date of birth is wrong and provide a different country as your location… You get the drift…

Use alternate phone numbers and emails to sign up for any site you work on/social media! NOTHING that can be traced back to you!
  3. BE AWARE! AKA – CHECK YO-SELF! Always keep at the front of your mind when you are on cam that you have anywhere from 10 – THOUSANDS of people in your room watching your every move and listening to every word you say! Don’t slip up and give ANY personal information out at ALL! Keep the tv in other rooms turned down so that in case the local news comes on, they can’t hear it! Keep yourself in check at all times! I know it can be easy to get caught up in a great conversation and maybe divulge a little more than you should (I work out at this place, I like to eat at that one place called bleh, I go to this place all the time! etc…blah blah blah..) but always remember how many people are in your room at any given time. A good way for me to keep myself in check is to picture thousands of creepy eyes on me at once. It’s hard to do this sometimes when you are in your own home, in a comfy room and having a great time, but ALWAYS remember this!
STFU and drink your tea! If they start getting too personal direct the subject back to sex!

This is how I picture every guy that is talking to me in my chat room or just sitting there silently staring. Keeps my ass in check every damn time.
  4. DO NOT EVER – EVER – EVER OPEN A LINK A MEMBER HAS SENT YOU THROUGH CHAT, OR MESSAGES! Don’t do it, I’m serious! ALSO, do not ever go to a website that they direct you to (unless it’s something safe that you are familiar with like Amazon or Pornhub)! (Him: hey BB, this page has videos of my huge dick – the url is: www.wtfrudoingdumbass.cum – you should look at it!). They can send you to a site that will track your location, or install malware/hacking software onto your computer! Don’t fricking do it. Tell him no or just straight up ban his ass for pulling weird shit.

Don’t do it! Chances are he may be sending you something harmless or the chances are he is trying to hack your shit. Risk level Defcon 5!
  5. ALWAYS CLOSE YOUR BROADCAST WINDOW/UNPLUG YOUR CAM IF YOU WON’T BE ON FOR MORE THAN 5 MINUTES! There are news stories all over the place regarding cameras on computers being hacked into. In the off chance some psycho douchebag were able to pull this off and you need to call your credit card company and/or have a conversation with your significant other with location details, etc. There ya go. Takes 1 second to do this. Just do it. Make it a part of your routine as much as checking your earnings or cleaning your dildos.

I know you are doing the COMPLETE opposite of this but this was too damn funny not to post here 🙂
  6. Amazon/FaceTime, Snapchat, etc.. You will get requests for a link to your Amazon Wish List, requests to Facetime and or use messaging apps like Snapchat and Kik. I will of course leave this up to your personal discretion but please do a search regarding compromised personal information in regards to Amazon Wishlists and use your best judgement. I prefer not to use this, however I created a separate Amazon account using my camgirl email (with no personal information linked to it) and only accept gift cards through this account specifically. A lot of men will use this as a way to attempt to gather personal information about you. Facetime, uh, yeah. This one isn’t rocket science….. Snapchat does have a map/locator function so be sure you turn it to “Ghost” mode. You can still use these services, just be smart and vigilant when you do so!                                                                                                                                                                                            I am sure I may have missed something, and there will likely be a part 2 to this post but it’s a great start! Camming is great fun and very enjoyable (and the money is nice too, lol!) but always remember you are taking a risk here and you need to keep yourself safe 🙂
